my story with design

My world in design started at a relatively young age, I fell in love with Photoshop on my mom’s old desktop PC (it was CS3) I believe. Since then I have really just enjoyed thinking outside of the box and seeing other ways that people design. You could find me in the grocery store looking at boxes for hours, or in a record store staring at album covers until they close. I’ve always had a keen eye for color and when it’s used well. I try to take elements of everyday life that I have experienced and put it into my own. I believe the design shouldn’t only be about the final product, but about the process to make it and the effort and ability of the artist creating it. I find the process of creating to be the most rewarding factor in the art. I love thumb nailing and researching, trying different techniques and studying different artists, its very enjoyable and feels like it contributes to a greater purpose.

Since elementary school I have been making YouTube videos and learning how to edit footage using free programs. Since high school my love for video editing and production has strengthened, turning into another hobby of mine.

music.

Music is everything to me. From the moment I wake up in the morning to the moment I lay my head on the pillow at night, the music never stops. I would consider myself a multi-instrumentalist, playing drums, guitar, bass, and I love to sing as well. Also an avid concert goer, music plays a huge part in how I design and how my style is influenced.

working with my hands.

Because looking at a screen all day gets stale after a while, I also enjoy working with my hands in physical mediums like paint or clay. I love just going and getting dirty.
