HARRY POTTER BOOK COVER REDESIGN

about this design.

This was done for my Process & Production class, one of my favorites. We learned the ins and outs of the printing process and how to make things like this.

We were given the choice of doing any book we wanted to for this project, we just had to recreate everything from the physical copy we had, onto our new copy. I chose Harry Potter & The Goblet of Fire. One of my favorite book and movie series of all time, there’s so many memorable moments in this book, I figured it would be perfect to recreate the already amazing book cover. I chose to use the maze from one of the challenges as the main cover design, and went totally modern with the type, almost like one of those Barnes & Noble reissues they do every now and then. The back cover is a hand drawn illustration done in Procreate, I took the imagery from the dragon that Harry battles in the first challenge and added that to the magnificent Hogwarts castle on the cliffs edge. We also had to write a short biography about the author on one of the inside flaps a “special edition” release. The right inner flap features an interpretation of the Goblet of Fire itself with the maze wrapping around the inside of the book.
