about these designs

These designs were done for a contest that the University of Saint Francis was having to design their new logo. The first logo takes the image of our chapel and surrounds it with olive brands, symbolizing peace. The serif font has some great ligature connections that I think symbolize the connection between the university and the Franciscan values.

The second logo is my favorite one, more of a modern interpretation on the logo. I took inspiration from other institutions and modern design. The statue is the statue of Saint Francis located in front of the mansion, the perfect imagery to balance the logo.

The final logo takes the stigmata of the university and incorporates it into a halo effect. The serif font is used again to show connection between the faith.
