This project happens to be the most strenuous, frustrating, and heartbreaking project all wrapped into one 24-page annual report. I love the final turnout of this booklet, but the circumstances behind its creation are a student’s worse nightmare. Let me paint you a picture.

It was about 8 PM on a Sunday, in late September, I was getting on my laptop to put the finishing touches on this project when I noticed my settings had a notification, a typical software update, nothing to be worried about. Wrong. With all my good intentions, I run the update, and everything went black. My computer shut off and once it turned back on, everything was gone. My folders, my iCloud drive, my photos, THIS PROJECT. My first reaction was panic, because obviously, but my second reaction was just that, reaction. I called up Apple support, and nearly 2 hours of searching and hoping for my lost iCloud drive to magically reappear, all hope was lost. After this, I went into pure focus mode.

This project was due on Tuesday of that week, I’ve never been a person to ask for an extension on an assignment, I will have it to you on the day you asked for it. I got up, walked over to the gas station close by and got a Triple Shot Espresso drink, safe to say I was up for about 9 hours, from 11 pm to 8 am I was working solely on this brochure, this thing has frustration, literal tears, and possibly blood (from my fingers hurting), and it’s one of my favorite pieces I’ve ever done.
